Cirlugea

Mihaela

Mihaela Cîrlugea  graduated in 2008 the University of Arts and Design in Cluj-Napoca and in 2010 the Master studies of the same university, the Fashion Design section. She was finalist of the “Arts of Fashion”  student contest in Philadelphia(2009) and San Francisco(2010). With these ocasions, Mihaela Cîrlugea took part at the Masterclasses held by Matthieu Blazy, former designer for Raf Simons, nowadays for Martin Margiela, Julie Perrin, colaborator for Hermes, Aurore Thibout winner of the Hyeres contest and Laurence Teillet, former designer for Martin Margiela.

The designer’s main preoccupation is for experimental techniques in exploiting the textile fabric, to obtain unique surfaces. Another direction to create unique pieces is through spontaneous hand painting. The collections are visceral, some dresses are cut directly in the fabric, without any pattern.

Durnea

Emma

I grew up in the heart of my parents’ knitting garment factory, surrounded by clothing patterns and the smell of chalk.

I began as an apprentice, working from scratch on each database individually. After much practice and study, I became a manager and eventually a designer. I was rewarded eventually, receiving contracts with stores hosting only Romanian designers’ creations.

Now leather, cotton, and fine fabrics help me tell my “story”. Everything takes shape in my personal showroom in the historic center of Cluj. As each of us has our own particular taste, we manage to find a look that makes us feel appreciated as powerful and sensual women. My passion and desire is to find this look, always combining styling of rock, avant-garde, and glam.

Tabita

Gliga

Elen's by Tabita Gliga begins with the story of its name ... The story begins dedicating all to her grandmother, unfortunately to her memory.

The refinement, the good taste and decency were qualities inherited from the one who was her "support" during the most important years of her childhood. The need of expression, of sharing the beauty got to maturity and hence Elen's by Tabita Gliga was born.

Elen's concept arose two years ago, two beautiful years ago, time in which we managed to expand to Cluj-Napoca in the Boudoir Designers Boutique in Polus Center, in Sibiu in the All for Art store and Baia Mare and the Belle Designers Boutique in Baia Mare.

Our desire is to continue growing as beautifully as possible and to take this concept further and to bring joy to women through Elen's creations.

The Mistique Moth

The Mistique Moth is about the metamorphoses of paper into beads and of beads into one-of a-kind jewelry pieces designed to emphasize your uniqueness.

I was learning the paper way by myself, driven by the idea of recycling and creating eco-friendly jewelry. I'm doing it since 2011 and even if i reached a certain level of skill, there is always something new and fun and about it. That's why I can keep my fascination for my paper work and always put my best energy in it.
At TIDAFF I will present you my latest collection, "Counterpoint" created out of old musical sheets. For showing different ways of working with paper, I chosed to also bring "Magic Spirals" collection and "The Path" collection.
I hope you'll enjoy it! "

I do not create clothes, I create emotion, feelings.

I dedicate my collection to those wonderful women who make a difference no matter what they do ,who inspire ,who share love and knowledge ,who are not afraid to dream.

Colours

by Cristina Gavrilut

My name is Cristina and I am passionate about jewelry ... to wear and create them.

After 19 years working in banking, I began to spend quality time making jewelry; at first, I worked with beads, but then I got to work with textiles, crystals and feathers.

After some time, I discovered soutache technique, which I felt in love with: the cords are binded through sewing, in oder to seem stuck and dance along with crystal beads or gemstones, in perfect pirouettes.  Jewelry created through this technique has become the superlative of what they once were: French military uniform embroidery."

Felicity Store

My name is Georgiana Lungu and Felicity Store is the most important project of mine. It can be both followed online on the website: www.felicitystore.ro and at fairs around the country. It has been 3 years since the brand was born, since I first started beadworking.

The name was carefully chosen and expresses what I want to show the world: a spectrum of jewelry “with attitude”, childlike and interesting at the same time.

I like to create as much as I like to sale. I consider myself the man of ideas and I am always convinced that there is more space for better. My purpose is to bring something new and to make the Felicity Store’s jewelry carriers to feel special.

FierForArt

by Iulia Cadar

[Hi!] My name is Iulia Cadar and since 2000 and another couple of years I've started weaving polished gemstones and found stones into copper wire.

A novice in this craft, I discover and rediscover things every day, although at times I feel like I myself have invented the copper weave. I like to say about my jewelry that it is the work of an unpublished author of short novels, because as much as time and inspiration allow it,   I try to weave a story in each jewelry I make. I learn the value of every stone and wood I use and I see how a material that seems at first common finds its uniqueness and worth once integrated in a piece of jewelry. I learn slow but steadily because I found in copper a flexible teacher.

Puica Lidia creates statement pieces with organic inspiration using free technique in crochet exploring shapes and volumes. In this way, the jewelry gets the value of an art object, being associated with some crocheted sculptures.

Ileana Bijoux

Without doubt, the jewel has appeared as a visible continuation of the soul.It always comes to compliment, to put into perspective, to amplify: a state, a thought, a flight.

One might say the jewel is the "keeper of the word" for those who wear it, and which will always tell of the carrier things which might otherwise remain shrouded in mystery...

LexaLexa

The brand LexaLexa under which I laid my thoughts and feelings was born from the love of art and free creation. LexaLexa’s go is to always surprise through well thought lines and sculptural symmetries that give the product a touch of dynamism and passion.A challenging concept is also the combination of textures with energetic attributes such as wood, leather, metal and other materials which blend into each other to provide a special emotion. The contrasting elements that once streamed through the artistic filter lead to the discovery of a fresh and unexpected final product.

LexaLexa is for those who understand beauty as something powerful and interesting with own rules and bold attitude. Unique or limited edition products LexaLexa accessories are dedicated to lovers of art and style.

Patore'

The idea of creating the Patore' wooden bow tie came after a really nice Christmas present in 2014.

Without any background in design, we decided to create a business around the idea so we can use our creativity in a totally different way than we do at our profession.

The point off Patore' is that everything is created by us, and we would like to keep it that way in the future too, because this is what makes it exciting for us. Our inspiration comes from different design blogs and from our traveling from last year. It's not a secret, we've got into this business with big hopes and a great desire to grow outside of Romania so we can work in many different countries.

Kristine

Kristine was born from the desire of bringing something new and original , while being in love with the vintage and keeping in mind that a classy accessory is always welcome.

Ruxandra Flueras

I began my career studying fashion design at the University of Arts and Design Cluj-Napoca. Upon graduating Masters in fashion design, I had the opportunity to work in design for myself from the very beginning and slowly growing my knowledge.

The invaluable experience gained from working abroad inspired me to fulfill my lifelong dream and launch my own line, ARMOAR

When I’m designing, I’m inspired by shape, textures, and color. Every design focuses on flattering a real woman's body. My technical knowledge of a garment’s proper fit and design, combined with creative abilities, results in an effortless and wearable line that reflect the kind of woman I am; sensitive, sexy, fun, and delicate.

Ada Balan

Years after, here I am, still experimenting new techniques, new fabrics, recycling old stuff and transforming it into something else.

My intentions are to remain the same child with great eyes wanting to transform all the things around me, to catch the essence of a certain era from the past and bring it in the XXIst Century, filtered through my imagination.

Sometimes I dive into the Middle Ages and work with leather and metals, sometimes I wander through the seventies or eighties, sometimes I’m a rocker or a punk alienated kid, the next day I’m a mademoiselle at the King’s court …

Leather, textile fabrics, metals, paper, plastic, everything is around me will become someday a piece of your wardrobe …

My world, my playground, is filled with colors, textures, scents and sensations, I feel them and I bring them out for you in my personal way.

That’s who I am. Discover me.
